Supply scope

A useful steel quotation starts with a clear material description. BoGuan accepts inquiries for raw materials used in fabrication, industrial production and project supply. We help turn your purchase list into a defined sourcing request, with each item identified by its governing standard, dimensions, quantity and required documentation. This also makes proposed alternatives easier for your purchasing and technical teams to review.

Specification examples are shown below. Final grades, size combinations and supply conditions are confirmed in your quotation.

Steel plate & sheet

Submit thickness, width, length and quantity for each line item. Include any cutting, edge, flatness or surface requirements that affect how the material will be used.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
JIS G 3101 · SS400.
Dimensions
Non-heat-treated plate examples span 6–200 mm in thickness across several grades. Grade-specific limits and complete width and length combinations are confirmed for quotation.

Confirm the grade, heat treatment and complete thickness, width and length combination for quotation.

Steel coil

Define thickness, width, finish and the preferred delivery form. Coil weight, internal diameter, packaging and handling limits should be included where your production line requires them.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
JIS G 3131 · SPHC, hot-rolled mild steel.
Dimensions
Example combination: thickness 1.2 mm × width 610–1,350 mm, for 270 N/mm²-class, non-pickled hot-rolled coil.

Specify hot-rolled or cold-rolled material and surface condition. Confirm other thickness and width combinations individually.

Steel strip

Provide thickness, width and quantity, with the required grade and surface condition. Specify edge requirements, delivery form and any coil weight or handling limits relevant to your production process.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
JIS G 3141 · SPCC, cold-reduced carbon steel. Dimension example: SPCC-2D.
Dimensions
Thickness 0.2 mm × width 508–900 mm for SPCC-2D.

Specify temper, finish, slit width and edge requirements. Other grades, tempers and finishes need their own size confirmation.

Steel sections

Identify the section designation, dimensions, length and quantity, together with the material standard and grade. Attach a cross-section drawing where the profile or dimensional requirements need clarification.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
Q235 H-sections; GB/T 11263 dimensional specification, with the required edition to be agreed.
Dimensions
HW200×200: 200 × 200 × 8 × 12 mm — height × flange width × web thickness × flange thickness.

Specify the full grade and quality suffix. Confirm the grade and section combination against the required standard edition.

Steel pipe & tube

State the intended application, governing standard and grade. Include the outside diameter or cross-section dimensions, wall thickness, length and quantity, plus any specified manufacturing method, end preparation or inspection requirements.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
JIS G 3466 · STKR400, structural square tube.
Dimensions
200 × 200 × 6.0 mm — outside side dimensions × wall thickness.

Confirm length, tolerances and standard edition. Pressure, fluid-service and other pipe applications require their own governing specification.

Stainless steel

Identify the grade, governing standard and product form, such as plate, coil or tube. Add dimensions, quantity and surface finish, together with the documentation needed for your application.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
JIS G 4304 · SUS304, hot-rolled stainless plate.
Dimensions
Paired SUS304/304L plate example: thickness 6.0–6.9 mm × width 1,801–2,000 mm; length 3–13.5 m.

This combination applies to hot-rolled plate; coil and tube require separate dimensions. Specify SUS304 or SUS304L explicitly and confirm any proposed grade or designation substitution.

Steel sheet piles

Provide the specified section designation or cross-section drawing, material standard and grade, length and quantity. Include connection requirements and any project drawings needed to define the requested supply.

Specification examples

Standards & grades
Q/BQB 170-2023 · WBZ500; W-IV hot-rolled sheet-pile section.
Dimensions
W-IV: 400 × 170 × 15.5 mm — effective width × effective height × web thickness.

Specify pile length, connections and project requirements. Confirm any alternative grade or section separately.

Information for quotation

Include the following details where available. Mark any requirements that still need to be confirmed.

Material definition
List the exact standard and grade. If an alternative may be considered, identify the properties and approval process that govern acceptance.
Dimensions & quantity
Provide a line-item schedule with dimensions, tolerances, unit quantities and total weight where available. Mark items that must ship together.
Inspection & records
State the material certificates, identification, testing or independent inspection required so these can be included in the sourcing request.
Delivery plan
Share the destination, requested delivery window and packing restrictions. Indicate whether the order is a single shipment or a phased requirement.
Trade direction (optional)
If known, tell us whether this is an export from China, an import into China or another supply route. Name the planned dispatch country and destination country. Leave undecided details blank or mark them "To be confirmed".
Origin & mill requirements (optional)
State any country-of-origin or mill preference, and identify firm purchasing requirements separately. The dispatch country and country of origin may differ. List any required origin documents or mill identification for review.

Scope & specifications

Product availability, order quantities and documentation are confirmed during quotation. Grades described under different standards require technical review; an alternative is supplied only against the agreed written specification.
