Supply scope
Transmission tower procurement begins with the line project’s approved design and tower schedule. BoGuan coordinates inquiries for tower steelwork and related components based on those requirements. Keep each tower reference linked to its drawings, bill of materials and required quantities. For projects with several tower configurations or phased deliveries, a clear package schedule helps establish what is quoted and how the material should be identified for shipment.
Tower steelwork
Steel members and assemblies defined by the project drawings. Identify each tower configuration, member schedule and material requirement so the inquiry reflects the required structure and quantity.
Connection components
Include the specified fasteners and connection items in a coordinated schedule. State how they relate to tower references, and distinguish installation quantities from any requested spare allowance.
Corrosion protection
Provide the project coating specification and associated inspection requirements. Any galvanizing requirements, acceptance checks and treatment of identified surfaces should form part of the purchase documents.
Identification & packing
Define member marking, bundle identification and packing groups. Match the requested grouping to the project’s tower schedule, destination and delivery sequence so components can be checked on receipt.
Information for quotation
Include the following details where available. Mark any requirements that still need to be confirmed.
- Tower schedule
- Submit tower references, quantities and applicable drawing revisions. Identify variant configurations and any required delivery batches without combining distinct types into one quantity.
- Technical specification
- Provide the governing structural, material, fabrication and coating requirements. Include owner-specific conditions and identify documents that require review or approval before production.
- Inspection & records
- Define required material certificates, dimensional checks, assembly checks and coating records. State any inspection witness points or third-party requirements in the inquiry.
- Supply boundary
- List the included tower components and hardware, and identify any separate requirements for foundations, line hardware, conductors or other project materials.
Scope & specifications
Tower capability is established by the project design and approved specification. This product scope does not imply a universal voltage range or utility approval. Civil works, line erection and electrical systems require separate agreement.
